Is my Thermostat the problem?

I have the Coleman RV Comfort ZC thermostat pt# 8330D3311. No matter which HEAT setting I chose Elec or Gas, BOTH furnaces come on. In the elec mode, the correct heat pump comes on, along with both furnaces once again. This happens in BOTH Zone 1 and 2. I've tried pulling the fuse several times to no avail. New T Stat runs around $160 so want to be sure before going the $'s

I am not sure if I understand your issue correctly but here goes. In my MH if I select Electric heat on the RV Comfort thermostat ( I have heat pumps) and the set point is 3 or 4 degrees above ambient both electric and gas will come on to get the temp to the set point. After the set point is reached only the electric will will run. This is normal for my system. Try setting the set point 1 degree above ambient then select electric heat. Most of the time we keep the gas turned off so this is not an issue.

Forgot about the ambient temp issue, BUT both furnaces should not kick on at the same time I believe, this is also an issue. Only the front furnace on Zone 1 and only the rear furnace on Zone 2 should kick on.

I don't know about both furnaces coming on, my bounder only has 1 furnace. My thermostat has a gas heat position for zone 1 and zone 2 but they both control the same furnace. Should be others along soon more knowledgeable than me. Best of luck.

You are correct and you are sure for instance zone 2 is off and it still comes on.
