Issues with Norcold Refrigerator

I have a 08 Kountry Star Motorhome with a 12 cu. ft. Norcold fridge (model 1210IMD). Over the past 9 mos. an intermittant loss of power. I have had two certified techs and the Newmar factory work on it to no avail. At first we were getting a L1.oP fault code. Had the High Limit Thermal Switch replaced. It continued to act up, experiencing 6 on/off flashes. Now we receive no fault codes. Had the optical control panel on the front replaced and the power board (part 628611) as well. At this point the problem is still there with the same flashes but now showing fault code "AC Relay Stuck Closed". Service manual says to replace power board. In each case I can restart the fridge by pulling the DC fuse and reinserting it after an hour. All aspects of the operation otherwise are fine....no obstrucitons, no interference, no AC ripple, cooling unit works great. My suspicion is that the replacement power board may also be defective. Any help will be appreciated. I don't want to keep throwing money at it. Norcold itself has been contacted many times and don't seem to be of much help. Thank You.

Try unplugging the 120 vac power plug from the coach and plugging it straight into the power grid via pedestal or home duplex receptacle for several days and see what happens. Have the heating elements been replaced? You may also consider this if it fails from above testing or trips a GFCI protected circuit.

Welcome Wrightwa to irv2.
If you scroll down to the bottom of this PDF you will find no AC relay in diagrams that could get stuck.
The AC elements are only supplied by fuse 8A within the heating element circuit no relay.
The power cord to refridge only supplies 110 to heating elements nothing else.
Everything else is supplied and controlled by your 12v's to control boards.
Within the PDF you will see a reset of control board, pg 18, has anyone ever reset the control board?
If you have something loose in 12v power supply you will have intermittent problems, thats what I would check at fuse panel, screws tight on ground leads & battery leads and 12v block at base of refrigerator floor.

Does not the PDF figure 48 show two relays labled K-4.

Your right miss that on new fridge all other diagrams do not have the k4's.
Notice a k2 in fig 50 also.
They add electronic's so will cause less problems???
I see no harm in placing a jumper across both to bypass the contacts and see if it solves problem.

He has a model 1210, not a 1200. That service manual pdf earlier in this thread does not apply. The 1210 service manual is here:
http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ncold1210.pdf

But I don't see an "AC Relay Stuck" fault code in the 1210 installation or owners manuals either.

1210 Series

The AC mode heaters work off the same thermistor as the LP mode, so there has to be a relay somewhere to turn the heaters on/off as needed. The relay is probably in the control board and 12v operated, switching the 120v current.

Very interesting and detailed flow charts for this fridge. Notice some blank pages for added notes with all the detail should be easier for tech to find troubles.
Maybe need better schooling on how to use them.
Hope owners are not going to have to be the teachers.
