Off electricity, AC line.
Not my electric personality

We only turn ours on when going on a trip... Everything wears out,,, some things by sitting,, some by use... I don't see running an appliance for no reason,,, guess if you can afford it,, go for it,,, my opinion...

How often do you defrost the Norcold refrigerators,I have the N841 model? The fins on ours gets pretty iced over in 6-7 days where we live here in FL.

Must have a LOT more humidity there then here in the Pacific Northwet. I leave our Dometic on 24/7/365 and I might have to defrost the fins once a year.

We leave ours on, but not empty. We leave drinks, condiments and other stuff that won't spoil. We also leave stuff in the freezer. We do this because it takes 5-8 hours to cool down, and we are mainly weekenders. Anything to cut back on the "work" associated with going RVing, in my book, means we go more often!

That's easy... An inline (inside) valve. And yes... The exterior of the mh. I used to be afraid to cut holes in fiberglass... Like for a thru hull fitting or for an indash mount on a boat... Not anymore!

Mine's on if there's beer (or other, less important items that need to stay cold) in it, off otherwise.

When I'm done for the season (usually by Easter), I turn mine off. No reason to try to cool it in the 115°+ AZ weather.

the norcold refrigerator portion (fins) is supposed to automatically defrost every 48 hours. the timer is reset by turning the fridge off, then back on.
we manually defrost the freezer portion about once a month.
we live in our moho most of the time.
