Kingdome and KVH are both manufacturers of satellite equipment.
KVH seems to have the "upper hand" now as far as technology is concerned with the "dew removal" system in their in motion R6 dome.
Personally, I had Kingdome for several years on two different coaches and never had an issue and now that my new coach has an R6, I am very displeased with it. There's an apparent issue with the R6 that KVH is working on, but it hasn't affected every unit....Right now, mine works when it wants to,but hopefully it'll be fixed next week in Nappanee.
There will be folks on both sides of the issue that swear by either one, sort of like Ford and Chevy, but I truly believe you'd be fine with either one.
