Klauber Slide out motor

My slide out gear box broke the tabs that the bolts go into to mount it to the base off. Does anyone know where I could get one of these from without going through Monaco? I have checked on EBAY and else where on the internet. It is Model K01250C600. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Howard.

Helped a neighbor with a similar issue; bolts worked loose and snapped the bosses off the gear case.
Question ; Does the gear box have mount tabs on the opposite side?; his did.
We covered the holes in the gear case; to prevent grease leakage; and moved the mount bracket to the other side of the case. Took about 2 hours, bracket had to be modified to clear the motor, but 2 seasons later it's still working fine.

Thanks. Contacted Klauber and can get one from them for $450.00. Monaco wanted $900.00. Think I will try moving the mounting bracket. How was the bracket mounted on the MH of your friends? Was there a metal plate between the bottom of the floor and the mounting bracket? Any info is greatly appreciated. Howard

I needed a K01176A900, found it on eBay for $460 + 25 shipping for our Dutch Star. Newmar wanted about $600 several years ago. Supposed to be delivered later today.

The angle bracket that supported the gear case was mounted to the floor with self drilling, lag bolts. If memory serves, there was a metal plate , reinforcing the floor. There was a post last year with pictures, of one members repair , I'll try and find it.

OK , I'm back.
In the " Newmar owner's forum "
Click the drop box " Search this forum "
Type in " Slide Motor Issue " and search.
Look for the " Slide Motor issue" , post by " Bryantclan "
It is about 1/2 way down the page of 25 posts that came up, post date 03/23/2012

Thanks for all the great info. I followed your directions Skip426 and found the post you were referring to. Last night I took another look and decided I would go that route. I can make a whole new bracket and use the 4 bolt holes on the opposite side. There were only 3 on the original side. I have found that on this site you can pretty much find what you are looking for. I try to keep in mind that no matter how bizzare a problem is, 99.99% of the time someone on this site has experienced the same thing. Thanks so much. Safe travels. Howard

One little hint; DO NOT ! attempt to hold the motor /gear case , by hand , if you power it up to re-position it. The gearing gives the assembly a boat load of torque and can easily crush your hands .
We brought in another battery, disconnected the motor wiring, and aligned the assembly with , momentary power application, in the direction required.

The only thing I questioned, in the repair, pictured in the post was the use of aluminum for the bracket.

The battery is a good idea. I made another bracket today out of 3/16" plate instead of the 1/8" the original was made out of. I made it in the shape of a "T" instaed of the "L" shape the original was. I welded the piece going down that the box bolts to with 7018 welding rods to the underside of the top plate. This will not flex like the OEM did which over a period of time I think caused the bosses on the gearbox to break. More holes on top to screw to floor with, heavier design, saved $450.00, and have the satisfaction of doing it myself. Thanks for the ideas, once again the members of IRV2 save the day Safe travels. Howard

Ideas and help that's what the forums are about.
How about a picture of your fix .

I may be tempted to do an upgrade the bracket before I have an issue.
