So far, not too impressed with the fancy dishwasher.

I'm planning to install a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher in my 2012 Allegro Bus. From what I've learned, the basic model number in 2012 was DD60, and that has been replaced by model DD24. DD60 had a remote control to lock/unlock the door (lock for travel), and DD24 utilizes a "knock" sensor.
Not to dispute your manual, but all the DD24 information I've seen says to knock ONE time. Maybe the model you have requires two knocks, but have you tried a single knock?

just to be clear. have you knocked on the upper right corner?
Check the model # as stated above. Maybe they forgot to supply you with the remote.

Yes this is the DD24. Yes, I have knocked in the upper right corner. My manual clearly states to knock 2 times, both in the quick start guide and the main manual.

Please direct me to the manual that says knock one time. My manual clearly says knock 2 times.

Good luck, and let us know what happens.

There is joy in Muddville tonight! I have solved the problem.
After studying the installation manual a bit I decided to take the front panel off to see if maybe the knock sensor was unplugged or somehow not installed right. I discovered the knock sensor just hanging down. It had never been attached to the door panel! I did find some tape where it looked like it may have been attached and had just come loose from that. The installation instructions clearly show where it is supposed to be screwed to the door panel and there were no screw holes or screws for that matter. I found some screws in the shop, installed the sensor properly, then put the panel back on. I fired that puppy up, knocked twice on the door and it beeped a few times and the door unlocked. Wahoo! I am a hero once again.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. BTW: I tried one knock and it did not work, 2 knock is the secret knock! Shhhh, don't tell anyone.
