Had an interesting occurence happen today. Had to change the starting battery on the rig today as the 3 yr old one finally went south. After installing the new battery, I started the unit and noticed that the control panel for the jacks was not lit nor would it light up after pressing the on/off switch and the jacks would not work. I checked the Kwikee website and their troubleshooting section stated to remove the (3) wire connections on the back. After about a minute, I reconnected them, started the rig up and of course, they now seem to be working. What would have caused this by just changing the starting battery.

The problem was probably that you had "Low" voltage before you changed the battery. This caused the microprocessor to lock up and removing the other leads allows it to reset or reboot if you will the control board under good voltage conditions.

I had a friend who also had problems with Kwikee jacks after a break in power caused by a storm. The factory advised them to disconnect the line in the back of the panel and leave off about a minute and that would reset jacks. Jacks are working fine now.

Thanks to the insight of RVWizard, thats what I did to mine,(unplugged wires on back of panel for several minutes) and it worked fine after that. You'll quickly find that this board id the best when it comes to finding answers to your problems.

Thank God for this forum! My RV was stuck in front of my driveway because my leveling jacks wouldn't retract. My battery had run down due to lack of use this winter and locked up the computer. JC2's tip worked perfectly!

Thanks a million.
