We just use tide like we use at home. When one does a load you should have your gray water valve open. Sometimes i leave it closed and let it fill up a bit and the open it to flush the tank.

Interesting, never heard of that brand before. Do you find that it works OK. My son is playing on a travel baseball team so it will be required to get out some dirt from a white uniform. I presume it is this one?

We also use an HE soap. Doesn't matter which brand. Almost all front load washers require the HE soap. Regular detergent can produce to much suds, and the HE is formulated for cleaning with low sudsing. Your manual should tell you if HE hsould be used.

We just bought a top loader for the stick house. The one without the center post agitator. It also requires HE soap.

I agree with Wayne - HE (high efficiency) soap for low suds in a front-loading washer. We used to use the special Splendide detergent, but it is very expensive. We now use Tide HE - half the price, and it works just as well.

X2...our manual specifies HE soap and that's what we use.
