LED replacement bulbs...are they cooler?
Hello All....seriously looking to replace all the halogen bulbs in the 2005 Pace Arrow 36d. Question is are they really cooler and should I not mix with halogen bulbs on the same segment (like the galley) or replace them all at once on the segment?...thank in advance

They use approximately 1/10th the power, so you can imagine how much less heat they create.
You can swap out 1 or all, makes no difference.
As far as colour, get some in the lower 3-4,000 k rating, known as warm white.
Happy Glamping.

I tried cool white, natural white and settled on warm white. Replaced over 60 of the halligan ones, not all at once though.

No comparion....halogen is hot, LED is cool. I've replaced all our motor home bulbs with LED bulbs except for the fluorescent fixtures because we just don't use the fluorescent fixtures very often. Here's a link for the bulbs I used in the wall sconces and halogen reading/over counter fixtures.

As mentioned LED's are considerably cooler then halogen bulbs. That being said they do generate some heat. The better ones have a built in heat sink. The heat sink extends the life of the bulbs.
We replaced all the interior bulbs in our motorhome with LED's. While you can do them one, or a few at a time there will probably be a noticeable color difference between the LED's and the halogens. We used the Samsung Elite series from M4 products. They weren't the cheapest, but we are more than happy with their color and performance.
M4 products has a tutorial on their site as to color range choices. You can view the same sections of a motorhome with 2800k, 4500k, and 6000k bulbs to see the color differences.

Changed out 60 bulbs. Worth the price. Much less heat. Helps when you only have one AC.
