Level up and low batteries

2014 montana HC with electric 4 point auto level.
"Autolevel' works intermittently but can level OK manually. Customer service tech says low battery when he tries to talk me through resetting controls so I installed a new fully charged battery but still have the same problem. Readout on autolevel screen says 12.8. All other 12 volt things seem to work fine. Is there some other situation that might keep the level up system from getting the full power from the battery? Keeping hooked to the truck does not make a difference.

Is the engine on when you are leveling?

How much does the voltage drop when you active the leveling jacks? If you have a dirty connection the voltage could show normal until a load is applied to it, then drop significantly.
