LightningRod Heater Kit Switch?

I'm adding a LightningRod to my Atwood 6 gallon water heater. CW sells a "Deluxe UL Box Switch Kit" for about 30 bucks. Has anybody found a more reasonable alternative lighted on/off switch?

Also the installation instructions says; "...plug in a 110v outlet, protected by a 15 or a 20 amp breaker (no more!)." My nearest outlet to tap into would be the vanity. Problem with vanity outlet is that hear dryers often trip the breaker. So would it make more sense to string it over to another outlet? My kit draws 4 amps.
