Low gas flow after gas leak repair

So a squirrel chewed a hole in the rubber gas line from the propane cylinders. Took the trailer to the shop and they replaced the gas line. Now I have low gas flow to the oven/stove and the furnace won't ignite.

Is it the repair or should I suspect the regulator went bad?

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I would take it back to the shop that did the repairs! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Turn off the tank, turn on a burner to relieve pressure. That will reset the excess flow valve.

Wait a few minutes, turn off the burner, slowly open the gas valve and see if that fixes it.

If not, it could be that chunks of rubber are blocked the gas flow.

Did the shop check it after repair ?

Did they use Teflon tape on the joint? If so, there may be a fragment of the tape gone down the line.

The shop I used is located about 100 miles from my home. So I was going to try replacing the regulator first. If that doesn't work I'll take it back to the shop for them to fix as the repair is still under warranty.

Teflon tape- even the formula made for LP applications, IMO should never be used, instead use pipe dope. Teflon tape often gets cut by the threads when the joint is assembled, that cutting can travel downstream and clog LP orifices or gas valves. Then the tedious task of locating the plugged orifice(s) and/or valves begins.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll plan to use the dope rather than tape when I install the new regulator.
