Lowering power when using EU2000I

When boondocking with my EU2000i, i have to shut down my converter to use my microwave, 10 amp draw. Next trip i am going to unplug the 110 to the frig. Just found it draws 5amps and i can run it on gas. The converter draws 6.4 amps. I am thinking of adding a soft start so i can run my AC with a 10 amp draw. Will this plan work?

Keep in mind that a Honda EU2000 is a 1600 watt generator with a 1800 watt surge rating.

So, If the soft start works in getting the AC running, you will be using all the power of the Honda for it.

You will not be able to run your converter to charge your batteries or any other 120 volt items, but you'll be cool.

Disconnected the 110 v from fridg on my last 20 day trip. Could run the microwave with the inverter running , no problem. Much improvement.
