Macerator warning

For those of us that use a macerator take note. If you are using "drop in" tank treatments (those little packets of deoderant that you drop in the stool and flush) you might want to stop. I have found the little bags that contain the deoderant do not disolve. They end up in the well of the macerator and could partially block the liquid flo during pumping which could lead to an overheated unit. We are using up the rest of what we have by cutting the corner of the bag and just pouring the contents into the stool and throwing the bag in the trash.

Another item are the womans monthly item that may find its way through sewerage system at home but does not do well through a macerator in your motor home.

Just inform your love ones.

I am retired after 50 years of plumbing.
The only things that should go down any toilet are human waste and toilet paper. NOTHING ELSE!

Some people seem to think they are living in the era of the outhouse, where anything that would fit through the hole was disposed of in the "pit."
