Magnadyne Dash Radio-no Sirius, no sound

On our first trip I had a difficult time getting any FM stations. I would only get 1-2 when in the car on the same route I would get 10-15 stations.

Then while camping I pulled out the manual to find out how to get the Sirius # to add it to our existing Sirius account. I followed the instructions by selecting "mode". The word; "Sirius" appeared but not the ID #. The next step said to push the "Tune" knob until "Normal" appears. It doesn't. Now I cannot get "Sirius" to appear when pushing the mode button (only FM, CD, AUX1, AUX2, and W-BND appear). It is as if Sirius disappeared.

On the way home I tried the FM again. When scanning for channels it stops at several frequencies and the bars move (appear and disappear) as is if something is coming through but I get no sound. I've made sure "Mute" was not selected and I checked both options on the speaker switch (Tv and Radio) in the overhead compartment.

I even tried a hard RESET. It only brought back "Sirius" as a mode but as soon as I tried another step it disappears for good again.

These interconnected systems may be convienent when they work but sure makes troubleshooting a PITA.

Lack of antenna is probably the first problem. As to the second one, Sirius, it probably is only Sirius ready and not equipped?

There might be gremins behind the dash pulling wires.
The Rear camera on the Weldex also stopped working. It was working for the 3hr trip home and a lengthly back up (1/8mi). I put the coach in NN and set the brake and proceeded to unload the coach. When finished, I noticed the blank monitor. L/R work, but not the rear.

I really enjoy the coach but I seem to add more items to the "fix" list than I am taking off. At least with the travel trailer I was able to keep up on the list.

I had a similar problem. Simple solution was that one of the wires on the Radio/TV switch had a bad connection on the spade lug that plugged on to the switch. Replaced it and everything was OK.

Happy New Year
