Magnum Inverter draining house batteries

Put in a new Magnum MMS1012, and I love it. I noticed after leaving the rig in storage for a month or so, my batteries were below 50% charge, despite having the main and auxiliary disconnects open, and running the little solar panel that is supposed to maintain the batteries.

I found that with everything off and the disconnects open, there was still a 200 to 300 milliwatt drain on the house bank. I checked to make sure the inverter was fully "OFF", not just in standby/search mode, and it is - LED indicator completely dark. If I disconnect the 12V cable from the inverter, the load drops to zero.

Is this normal for Magnum, or do I have a defective unit? I suppose I could remedy it by putting a D/C disconnect in the line and opening it when the rig is stored, but that is a PITA, and just one more thing to remember.

Any advice from more experienced Magnum owners?

Winnebago factory installed a rotary disconnect dedicated to the inverter. The inverter will always draw current unless you disconnect the 12 VDC input. For long term storage it needs to be disconnected.
