Marker lights and dash lights flash on start up

I have a 2007 holiday rambler ambassador. When I turn the key on and start the Engine the marker lights and dash lights flash and there is a dinging noise from the dash. Is this some kind of alarm and if so for what? I have searched all through the owners manual and see no mention of anything like this. Any ideas?

It could be a poor ground connection if nothing else.

Besides looking for a loose ground connection....also take a look at your relays in the main fuse panel and be certain moisture hasn't caused some surface corrosion and look at your ignition switch connection/harness.

If you have a pin connector, spray it with CRC Contact Cleaner and re-connect.

Let us know what you uncover.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I wouldn't consider the dash lights coming on momentarily that unusual. It's probably just to show you that they're working.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Some vehicles will go through a self check on startup. You may get a message like Check complete or in your case it may be the way to let you know the check is complete. Does your owners manual mention a self check?
