This trip was not meant to happen.
First the dry batteries, then the tie rod recall, then my appendix, then the refrigerator and now the microwave.
The microwave died. Groaned and died. Sharp wants to fix it. A repair man was just here and needs to order 6 parts. Can't locate them, but says he will. If this thing needs 6 parts, then why not get us a new microwave.
Time is a problem. The parts (if they can be found) will take 7 days to get here. We are leaving for Daytona in 7 days. Then short stays in Ga, SC, Va and Pa until we get to NY.
How are these parts going to find us? Sharp is not great to deal with.
I have no oven and this microwave is a convection oven too. We will be eating a lot of sandwiches

Sorry to hear of all the problems. What parts are you needing? Who is the repair company and are they specialist in this area? I have repaired thousands of microwaves or microconvections and unless the unit was pretty old, I had no problem getting parts in a reasonable time frame. I have been away from that industry for about 6 years now so things may have changed.
Keep ou head up and don't give up hope.
