Microwave not working

Hello all. I just tried my microwave for the first time since owning the rv for about a month now. It doesn't do anything. Its as if its not plugged in. Im pretty sure it is plugged in though.

In the cabinet right above the microwave there is an outlet with one plug into it. The plug originates from a hole in the inside bottom of the cabinet (right above the microwave.) So I assume it is from there. Its not the fridge because when I unplug it, I do not get the "power failure" warning on the fridge like when I unplug from shore power.

I know there is power to the outlet because I plugged in my power tester (see pics) and it works.

I looked through the owners manual for the microwave and the only troubleshooting it offers is to make sure the microwave is plugged in. Apparently, when it is plugged in, there should be four "zeros" displayed on the screen waiting for the clock time to be set.

Anybody have any experience with this problem and have a possible solution? Thanks!

The model is Magic Chef M15F-14B

The outlet in the cabinet above the microwave is almost certainly for the microwave. Since it is hot, it would appear the problem is with the microwave. Just to be sure, you could try plugging the microwave into an extension cord to see if that works.

There are usually one or two cylindrical fuses inside the microwave. One or both of them may have blown, so that's the next thing I would check. To access them, you'll have to get behind the control panel. On our convection microwave, one was immediately visible when I removed the panel. The second was behind another metal cover.

This past Sunday the microwave in S&B home quit working. My clock was working so I knew it was getting power. What I "think" I found out to be the problem was a micro switch that went bad. I didn't see any fuses in mine but I really wasn't looking for any. Replacing the micro switch, as well as finding one, may have been a challenge. Wife and I went to Target and bought one for around $120.00. Most rv microwaves are probably 1.1 cu ft. so you should be able to find one cheaper. Unfortunately in todays world everything is a throw away replacement item.
