I have a MC38, model 6939-0, serial 540055 generator that was pulled from an rv. This thing will barely crank and when it "did" it ran for about 5 minutes and quit. I have an after marker fuel pump added for starting and up until yesterday it would start and run after I activated the pump for a few seconds. Now it only floods the gas out the air filter. It's still firing, so I know it's gas related.

Can anyone tell me who made that engine or a compatible engine for a replacement carburetor?

Thanks
Terry

The Generacs I used to work on in the 80's were Briggs and Stratton 8 and 10 hp. with float bowl carbs. Mod #'s 170200 or 190200??

Thanks OC. That would be in my date range if they needed work in the 80's. I'll check with the local B&S supplier.
