I have an '89 Silver Eagle, the rear unit is not working, although I am connected to shore power and the front unit works fine, the rear just has a blinking red light saying low power.
Any ideas?

May want to check the 110/120 at the breaker and at the connection at the unit and insure you are getting 110/120. This would be a cheap start! Hope this helps some.

The breaker on the pole and under the bed look fine, even unplugged it and fired up the generator but still the same result.

Hi rigmover,
The unit has two capacitors. Consider:
1. determine if there is 120 VAC coming into the unit. You may need to get up on the roof and take off the shroud.

2. If there is 120 VAC to the unit, gut feel says one or both of the capacitors are bad. They are a start and run capacitors. They are located under a protective cover (metal). When you remove the cover, it is usually pretty obvious if they are bad. Bulging, leaking, burnt are some of the visuals. They should be avaiilable at any local electric supply shop. I carry an extra pair.

If there isn't the full 120 VAC coming into the unit, you'll need to track down where the VAC is being lost. I do not know your coach so I can not help with this path.

Is it possible the low power light is for 12vdc? Try removing the control plug on the back of the thermostat and cleaning the contacts and reinstalling.
