Need Help Identifying Wire
Here is a picture of the B-W Power Center (Series 6300A, Model 6345UL) in my 1986 Fleetwood Prowler. I am trying to identify what the blue wire in the middle at the top of the picture is for and if this is supposed to be connected to the NEG terminal on my battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The blue wire is the convertor positive feed and to your question, no it should not be attached to the negative on your battery.

The blue should be the POS from the converter to power the fuse panel.
Follow these pic's on an upgrade:

Thank You
Thank you for both responses. I see now exactly what you have indicated. For some reason my battery compartment has 2 large gauge white wires, 2 smaller gauge red wires, and 1 smaller gauge blue wire. I have identified the large gauge white wires as connecting to the NEG terminal on the battery and the smaller gauge red wires as connecting to the POS terminal on the battery, but am having trouble figuring out where the smaller blue gauge wire connects.

Seems it is possible that someone added an extension of the blue wire to the batts in order to have the entire DC distribution board filtered/buffered by the battery instead of only a few circuits filtered on that old board. Try to follow that blue batt wire back to the fuse panel and/or do/have an electric continuity check on the wire. It is color coded for POS, does not mean that it is true.
If you can afford it, replace the old 1 charging stage, battery burning converter with a new 3 charging stage upgrade. It will save you $$$ and headaches in the long run and no blue wire needed. Also, upgrading the charging wires to 8 or 6 gauge would be a huge benefit.

Thanks and Another Question
Thanks, BendOR. Am I correct in assuming that one set of white and red wires is feeding the 12V distribution panel and the other set of white and red wires is feeding the battery from the charger side of the power center?

The color coding is correct. The circuitry is possible or 1 set from the altenator. Someone more knowledgeable in that era rig would have to confirm.
If nobody else chimes in soon, you could try here:

Don't forget that some of the wires will originate from the trailer to tow vehicle wiring, battery charge & ground to the TV, and that the blue wire may be the power feed to the trailer brake , emergency break away switch.
This site may be of help also.
