Cool Need Help to locate a short 1994 vectra

I have a 1995 vectra that is giving me a headache the 20 amp fuse in the middle of the panel is shorting out. The feed wire is about a number ten and orange in colour. The fuse pops about three seconds after I turn the ignition on. Nowhere in the manuals or schematics that I have found indicate exactly what that fuse protects. So I am beginning to pull hair or whats left of it.
If anybody has any ideas please let me know. I live about two hundred miles from a dealership, so really need to get this sorted. Many thanks in advance. Rob

Just from what your saying and the size it sounds like a feed like for a solenoid, slideout or jack power feed

Hello Rob and . We are glad to have you join us and I am sure you will enjoy the website and forums. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.
If the wire is indeed a # 10 AWG , this circuit should be protected by a 30 amp over current protection device (fuse or circuit breaker). You might try a 30 amp fuse and have good battery voltage. If the 30 amp fuse does not hold, call Winnebago. They are very much willing to help you out. They can even email you a schematic for the circuit in question. Let us know the problem and fix.

Thanks for the quick responses. It ended up being the jet-co leveler motor overloading. I put in a quick reset fuse 30 amp and problem resolved itself. By the way I had knocked the level sensor out of location when I installed back-up sensors in rear bumper. Those work great, would recommend that to any body .
