Does anyone know of a comfortable RV couch that opens to wider than 48 inches for sleeping? We currently have three small special needs girls sharing the couch sideways (heads toward wall), but they are growing too tall to do that for much longer. The couch also has to support three well-secured car seats when traveling.

Ken,

You may want to upgrade to a pullout instead of an magic bed or jack knife.

Take a look at:

I have not had any dealings with these merchants so I can't vouch for them but they are there.

Regards,

Neil

A hida a bed can be installed if you have the couch in a slideout room. One might work if you had no other furniture in front of it without it being in a slideout. Our Villa hide a bed is very comfortable to both sit on or sleep on (from what I have heard from our guests)

Thanks RV Wizard. That sounds like what was in our previous coach, a Pace Arrow. With no slide, it covered most of the floor. We have a slide in the Suncruiser, so it should fit nicely. Right now we are semi-finalists in the RV Rescue Makeover, so with a great deal of luck this problem will be solved in April... We will know in February.
