New Fridge in Coach
We have finished the install of our new Samsung. I had to take off the rollers and the front feet adjuster to shorten height to fit in space due to the furnace under fridge. I lost 1 1/2 inches by do that. I was able to put one of the filler panels ,previously removed, across the bottom to hide fridge steel framing and clean the look up with out the factory Samsung grill that cover the front feet. The project included rerouting water lines , drain, eletric AC and DC, and propane lines. All this was to make way for lower the floor 5 1/2 inches. We closed up the roof vent and insulated rear access cover. We had installed all the doors on the unit in the coach to find out the fridge would not go down the hallway. We had to remove freezer door and the right door by removing lower hinge as you could not access top hinge while on my dolly I made to move down the hall to in front of the opening.

The only unit that I researched that was counter depth and 71 inches tall was Samsung RF18

Home Depot delivered it to the house for 1322.00. They back down the drive back to the shop and asked where I wanted it. I could not resist and pointed the coach. The helper said I do not think so! It would not fit at that time anyhow!

I'm curious how you actually got it through your rig's entry door? Will a residential fridge fit through a standard walk-through door with the fridge's front doors off? It seems like most are deeper than that.

If you sealed the back and top and did away with the grill in front where does the heat vent to?

Same as as it does for the frig in your house, it goes into ambient air inside. The residential frig does not seal along the sides like an RV frig. It requires airflow from inside the MH to transfer heat from the condenser to the air. That air then vents back to inside.
The main reason RV frig are sealed and use outside air is because burning propane you need fresh air and to keep the exhaust gases from entering the MH. Slight danger of carbon monoxide build-up.
Installation looks good Mark. You will be very happy with the increased frig capacity and also a frig that gets nice and cold. I am very happy with my Samsung RF18 conversion, past trip outside was in high 90's and the frig was still very cold inside. No way it would have been the same with the old Norcold.

The Samsung is a counter depth box which with the doors off will go through our front door. 24 1/2 inches wide. The old fridge was a noKool 1210.

Very nice install. I've got my RF18 sitting in the garage ready to install. It's replacing a nocold 1210. I've got new batteries and a new inverter installed and ready to go. Just curious, how did you secure the RF18 to the floor?
Noticed that Home Depot had it on sale for under $1,000.00.
