We just bought a used 2000 Winnebago Adventurer 35U and on our first outting, we used many things that drew on the house batteries while driving. When I got home everything went dead. Not enough power to start the genset. I forgot to look at my main panel to check the house battery status. I was under the assumption that when driving, the coach would charge the house batteries as well. This is how it works with our boat, with an isolator that when ignition key is off, starting battery is isolated and stereo runs off separate battery. When I start the boat, both batteries charge. Is this something that can be done with the RV? A system that charges everything while driving?

Your engine alternator should charge both chassis and house batteries while driving. I would guess your isolator has a problem.
