Newbie battery question

Good morning
I have a question about my TT battery. I will do my best to explain my problem.
While I am hooked up to shore power my battery shows full. And while hooked up to TV I believe shows full. We drove about 2 hours to camp ground when I unhooked from TV battery showed dead. Battery is only about 3 months old. This problem seemed to show itself after my TT was upgraded from a 30amp to 50 amp service at the factory. Also not sure if this is might have anything to do with it but when I got TT back the breakaway break cable was burned up(little black box where cable is plugged into TT. Pretty sure I caused that because while I stored my TT I pulled plunger to activate breaks I thought it would be better to have breaks on while parked. I replaced it before our trip. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

Adam

The trailer brakes are not intended to be operated continuously. Doing so causes several problems. The first is to burn up the switch, as you already discovered.

The second problem is that they put a significant load on the battery. Yoe discharged the battery down to essentially zero, which can destroy a battery. It is likely that you will need to replace the battery.

You probably killed your battery at the same time you fried the break away switch. Charge it up and take to auto parts store where they can load test it.
Check your brake magnets too.

The easiest way is to hook up to your TV, have somebody step on the brakes while you listen at each wheel. You should be able to hear them actuate.
