No HW
If you have a newer MH, you most likely have the type of HW heater that super heats a smaller quantity of water and then blends it with cold to give you tolerable temps in the coach. This also increases the amount of hot water available. This is done by a special mixing valve. If the mixing valve fails, you'll have plenty of hot water at the tank but none inside. Happened to me.

Welcome to the forum. As to the hot water heater no sure what type you have so couldn't even give a good guess. As to the LP alarm, might try replacing batteries, sometimes when the batteries are weak, the default setting is for the alarm to sound.
Hope this helps.
Many happy and safe miles.

Without knowing what kind of RV (age/brand) and WH you have it is difficult do diagnose in the dark. BUT, I would guess the anti-siphon valve either at the input or output of the WH has stuck closed. That is a common problem.

What year is your coach? LP alarms have about a 5-year life span as we learned at 1:00 in the morning.

fbea100031 welcome to irv2.
Here is a picture of a bypass set up for winter. You see the bypass valve allowing water to bypass the water the water heater.
So for summer months you turn all three to the opposite direction.
As for LP detector going off make sure if you have a stove with oven the pilot control is not turned on. A fragrant spray can cause it to sound and a dog may cause it to go on passing gas.
If you have old house batteries if boiling the gas fumes will set it off also as someone said. The detector itself has a fuse feeding it to operate.

You have a Pace Arrow. Pace used the single handle bypass on almost all their MH's. The handle is usually blue and has a label that says normal and bypass. On most pace's the handle is in the bedroom closet, by the water tank or next to the water heater. Find it and move it from the bypass position.

On the 2005 the handle is in the outside storage bay next to the water Heater. Curb side 2nd to the last bay inside on the right.

by pass valve
Could you please call my husband about the water heater by pass valve . He does not know if the water heater runs off the tanks or direct from the water hose when using out side water supply - This is new to us - we have a 2005 Pace Arrow 37' - thanks so much

I had a friend with Pace Arrow that had the same problem and someone at his dealership told him it was the outside shower faucet. It seems that if you leave the hot and cold water knobs open (it only sprays when you squeeze the spray handle) it will mix the hot and cold together for the coach. That was the answer. Good luck.

I have a a 2003 Pace Arrow and can verify the issue with the outside shower unit. Last year we started experiencing the 'too cold' hot water problem with our coach. After checking thermostats, electric heaters and the propane system and finding all was in good working order, I started researching what could be causing the problem. Sure enough, if you leave both hot and cold valves open on the outside shower unit, it will act as a mixer and deliver less then comfortable water temperatures to the shower unit. Seems like a poor design and I never leave the valves open anymore.
