I read with interest the questions about the inverter. We had a new inverter installed two months ago in our 2003 Fleetwood Providence due to a short. It was replaced by Camping World and covered (thankfully!!) by our extended warranty. The "remote" switch didn't come with the inverter, so they had to order it - and after two months, it finally came in.

I went and had it installed on Wednesday (along with a new Winegard Trav'ler dish), only to find out today when we went out to work on the coach before our next trip, that the outside light near the door, the front coach lights, and the reading lights - along with one more set farther back - don't work!! We tried just on battery and on shore power - but no luck!!! They worked fine before going in for the final inverter wiring. HELPPPP! It's a three hour trip there and back from Camping World and we don't want to waste the gas. PLEASE tell us it's something simple we can fix!!! Please???

Don't know if it will help but I would start out by checking the fuses.Seeing how you have no power to anything.Or maybe the main breaker.

The lights are 12v and unrelated to the inverter.

Check for a blown 12v fuse.

Thank you! Will do. Husband said he checked yesterday, but we'll check again today.

You were CORRECT!!! Husband checked all of them again - and sure enough, he had missed one, which was blown. All is well! What would we do without all of you! Thanks again!
