Hello all! My fridge works fine plugged in. My LP tank has 1/4 (per tank valve - and it's ON (yes I checked). The stovetop lights easily. I have tried the re-setting to purge process with no luck. The RV place suggested that I blow out the vent with a compressor and that might work, otherwise I'll have to bring it in to them. Since I'm not the most ably mechanical (and it hurts me to say that), I'm going to work on the vent tomorrow - somehow finding an air compressor I guess). Maybe I can use my powerful tire pumper. Any suggestions towards getting the fridge to work - before we leave on the first big trip of the year? Thanks in advance!!!

PF&H,
I just unwinterized my MH and had same issue, I found a really nice white spiderweb blocking the tube as gas goes to the burner, used air compressor to blow just a little bit, didn't want to jam it up, then used a small tube brush to get the rest of the web out. Started working within 5 mins. Same thing in my water heater gas tube. Also forgot to turn on the propane detector, no propane if detectors not on.

If you can't find an air compressor, buy a can of compressed air at Wal Mart. I always keep a couple cans on hand.

Thanks for the info about the Walmart air compressor, I will get some tomorrow.

I don't know the Neeley's - Are they RVer's also? Do they have school-age kids?

A vacuum cleaner can also be used to either vac or blow the burner area out

My folks bought an acre on a private lake in the 50s. There place was right beside ours and we were all the same age. Now we are in our 60s so there would be grandkids, etc
That was in Plymouth on Round Pond- fantastic place

You may have rust particles in the burner tube slots falling down from flue stack.
To remove rust filings gently tap outside of stack after placing paper napkin over slots than vacuum out area to remove rust particles. Also vac the slots in burner tube.
Should be part of your spring maintenance.

Ernie - that sounds like a wonderful time you had - I just checked out local phone book, and there are no Neeley's (with that spelling) listed in Medway, I'm sorry to say. Does your family still own that land?

007 - I'm new to this part of the maintenance, and going blindly into it !(AAgh). I'm going to open the outside vent shortly, and see what's there, pull out a troubleshooting book, and see what I can find. A nice person at Walmart also talked about a thermocoupling issue that might occur. HOPEFULLLY I can get this solved without going back to the RV repair place. Are the flue stacks somewhere near the vent? (I know you're shaking your head now!)
