Norcold 1200

We have a 2002 Pace Arrow with a 1200LRIM Norcold. Two years ago I installed a new circuit board and several months later an new control board. Our refrigerator had been working good. We defrosted and left it turned off for a month and then left on a trip. It will turn on and the green light will turn on but it will not cool in either the freezer or refrigerator. I am level, plugged in to AC power, my house batters are at 12.2 v. Their is no error code, any ideas?

Take the plunge. I always thought that a residential fridge was silly but after my Norcold died I made the leap and will never go back. Replace it and be happy.

Lack of cooling on AC ?
Lack lof cooling on Propane?
OR lack of cooling using either AC/Propane?

Have you checked that BOTH AC Elements are working?
Need BOTH to generate enough heat for proper cooling.

Does Flame Light off and burn strong/Clean/BLUE and just reach up into flue opening?
Proper burning flame

How long have you left it running before deciding it isn't cooling?

Answers will generate more responses!

Why did you replace the circuit boards two times?

Was it for this exact same problem?

Thanks for the suggestions, I replaced the main board first due to an error code (per trouble shooting from a supply house) again that worked. The following year I replaced the control board due to the mounting bracket broke and would not stay connected (could not purchase only the mounting bracket an my fixes would not hold) During a trip I had problems with it not working and had ordered another main board before I received some answers from this forum, that problem turned out to be a combination of needing new house batteries and a new converter. The board arrived and I was not able to return it. This year on a trip the refrigerator would not cool, no error code and after leaving it on for over 24 hours, with our coach being level, house batteries working well and being charged, I turned to the board that I had. I replaced it hoping that might be the answer, it was not. I have not used it on propane as it has never worked and I was OK with that, but I do need it to work on AC. How do I check the electric heaters on this Norcold?

You have TWO elements
Element leads plug into the lower circuit board-------Black & Yellow leads
Each one is rated at 225W and each should have resistance of 64 ohms

When energized they should pull 1.8/1.9 amps each
Protection is a 5A Glass Fuse on circuit board

There are recalls on those fridges and on top of that a recall on the recall. Take it to a dealer and they fix it fr free.

We just got ours done.

Thanks

The information was very helpful on troubleshooting my Norcold 1200.
this is an update on my issue. I have a Norcold repair man out to look at my unit. He found that my compressor was shot and cracked. Their was just a small charge for his time and I thanked him for his knowledge. I am having a new residential refrigerator, installed in the morning. a much better price.

Thanks again for everyone,s help and input.

Maybe you misunderstood the Repair Man......or he didn't know what he was talking about.

You do NOT have a compressor.
You have an absorption cooling unit.
It developed a LEAK and the ammonia/hydrogen escapeed.
Hence NO cooling ....

Residential fridge as replacement....OK
That one will have a compressor but NO propane means of cooling.
