Hello all, pulled the rig out today for the big trip tomorrow. Attempted to check all systems before we leave and the fridge wont work on LP.

It flashes NO. FL. Im assuming that means no flow? I can hear it switch over when I go from AC to LP, then a few seconds later it starts beeping and flashing NO FL.

I have never used it on LP in my two years of ownership. It is a 04 Newmar Dutchstar 4025.

I looked for a purge nut and found a screw in line after the little red igniter. This is not a hex, for my bloody knukles tell me so.

Any ideas or tricks that I missed, please feel free to let em fly.

We will be boondocking in GA for a week, or not.

Thanks

Silly question, but is your LPG gas detector on? Try igniting the burners on your stove for a few minutes to get the LP flow going and then attempt to start your norcold on propane. On our previous coach, if we didn't use it for a few months, it took lighting the stove to get the LP flow going.

I think that NO FL means "No Flame". Try the suggestion above about running the stove to make sure the supply is good. IF so, you can remove the access door on the side of your MH to actually look at the flame (or lack of) in the burner box. Lots of good info on the web for basic troubleshooting.

I have a 5 MB pdf file on Norcold trouble shooting. I can e-mail it to you if you PM me. You would have to have a high speed internet connection - It would kill a dial-up.

HERE is a link to an index of repair manuals for a bunch of RV appliances. Scroll down to find the document you want. For example, if you have a Norcold 1200, the troubleshooting guide is called ncold1200.pdf.

The manual will tell you what the different codes mean and what to look at to try to solve the problem.

The NO F is no flame (burner failed to light). Not used LP in 2 years? Your burner has spider webs or junk on it. Very tiny flame and needs a clean burner. A very common condition. If you got compressed air blow it all around and into the burner area including into the little sliding door to view the flame. I'll bet she lights right up afterwards.
