I found this thread while searching for information about my warm freezer. Sounds like we've all learned about thermistors, fans and stubborn bureaucrats!

In my case, I can warm my freezer from 0 to 20 by merely dropping the icemaker bail. It makes great ice, and lots of it, but the ice cream gets soft. Raise the bail, wait a while, and freezer back to 0.

I can't feel any warm spots on the icemaker, and I can't imagine it would churn out ice if the cube mould heater was stuck on, what after ruling out pretty much everything else, I'm considering throwing money at the problem (buying a new icemaker).

Before that check gets written, does anyone have a different idea?

Thanks -- Wayne
