If you are getting the smell of propane and are not hearing the sparking of the ignitor, then your problem is the circuit board on back. To confirm this, while your at the back outside, have someone inside put the fridge on gas and when you hear the gas valve open put a lighter stick in the hole to see if it will light and stay lit. If it goes out or it does stay lit, you will need to replaced the board. Does it work on the 120vac side? Changing the board is not that hard. You'll need a 1/4" nut driver and possibly a needle nose pliers to pull off the connectors. Label each wire and make a diagram first. Good luck.
