Norcold 2118 Stuck on LP

I'm sure somebody has posted before but there are sooooo many responses to a search its easier to just ask again. My Norcold 2118 is stuck on LP with a temp setting of 8. I can do nothing except power on and off. Is there a reset for the board I am missing or is this a take to the shop issue? When the unit first starts the lp fires great but the temp numbers just keep cycling from 1-9. If I hold down the auto button it goes to everything lit on the screen and when it down again it stops the rolling numbers but no response to temperature or auto/ac. Any ideas? This is on a 2017 so it is still under warranty but I hate taking it to the shop.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I'm not familiar with that model but I'm sure there is a factory reset procedure and it might solve your problem. I would call tech support and ask them to e-mail you a copy of that procedure. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

On control panel are 3 buttons and a display
Far left....ON/OFF
Just to right is MODE
Far left.....TEMP SET

In Display are indicators of:
Auto Electric Mode-----Power cord plug (left)
Auto Gas Mode---------Gas Flame (right of power cord plug)
Manual Electric --------Power cord plug (top)
Manual Gas------------Gas Flame (bottom)

Then 1-9 temp set point

When you push hold MODE Button does it step thru the 3 different modes?
Can you select each one of the 3 different modes?
(AUTO, Manual AC, Manual GAS)

Check/verify that you have 120V AC Power available and that the outlet fridge 120V AC power cord plugs into is actually HOT. (unplug fridge power cord...plug a drill motor, a lamp etc to check that outlet works)

No AC power at outlet...check CBs / GFCIs etc

Got AC Power at outlet.
Then you need to remove control module/lower circuit board cover (outside compartment) and check the 8A GLASS fuse. (F2 position on board...lower left)
It is for the AC Power/electric heater circuits.
If blown....try a new fuse (fast acting type---not slow burn)
If new fuse blows...bad/shorted electric heat element---fridge uses 2 elements. BOTH have to function for AC operation.

IF still unable to control/select functions
Unplug:
120V AC cord from circuit board
12V DC POS & NEG Leads from circuit board
Harness connectors 'K' , 'L' and 'M'
(Check pins/slots...nothing bent etc---then plug connectors back onto board)

Wait 30 seconds then plug 12V DC leads back onto board then 120V AC plug back onto board
