This fridge supposedly had a new or rebuilt cooling unit installed by the dealer in March of 09 when we bought the rv. We don't find any yellowish residue anywhere and the unit appears to be very clean . No obvious damage or rust etc. It acts the same on both gas and electric . The refrigerator gets COOL but milk will sour in 2 or 3 days and pop etc. are definitely not cold. The freezer gets cold enough to keep PRE FROZEN food frozen for a couple days but slowly begins to thaw. We are wondering if this could be the THERMISTOR. We have had Dometic Fridge's in our previous rvs and they were MUCH colder. We don't have extra fans inside the fridge. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you may have a cooling unit problem. I doubt if there is a warrant on a rebuilt unit.

Are you running on gas or electric?

I'd ask the selling dealer about the cooling problem. It costs nothing, and you might just get lucky.
If you have a thermister on the cooling fins it may be moved small increments (1/2") at a time. Allow 24 hrs. to see the results of each move. Move it up for colder, if it gets a little colder but not enough, move it to the next left fin, starting at the bottom of it. Some models/makes have the thermister adjustment on the back of the frig., see owner/service/installation manual for that: Aero-Rv.com - Aerolite Ultra Lite RV Travel Trailer and Expandable Hybrid Campers . Click "appliances", then select your make/model to download the pdf.

Thanks for the response. We've tried running on both propane and electric. Neither got very cold. We're trying moving the thermistor now as suggested and it SEEMS to be getting colder but it wasn't too warm outside today so I guess the jury is still out....

Hi JOEKAR,
Make sure the refer is level. Since it was just installed, check the refer, not the RV.
