Just bought a '94 Adventurer that has a Norcold 683 with an icemaker. I have no instructions on the ice maker. How does it work, when does it fill, etc. Any suggestions where I can get any manuals?

Thanks for the site. I had the manual, not the parts list. However, The manual doesn't say anything about the operation of the ice maker. Called Norcold, they didn't know either.

How do I get water to it? Is it an automatic operation?

I believe I have a newer unit than yours, but mine is very similar to my home ice maker in that as long as the "bail handle" is down, there's a water source, and power, it will fill the ice tray for freezing.
I always make sure my bail handle is up when there no power to the unit or I'm motoring down the road.

Mine is a stainless steel lever or handle that sits above the ice tray which acts as a shutoff for the automatic water flow. It has to be moved into the up position or off to remove the ice bin.

OK, theres a U shaped wire laying loose in the cube tray. Have to see if I can figure out where it goes.

Romer1, the refrigerator and freezer must be at normal operating temperatures. You must have a water source; either connected to city water or the fresh tank and pump turned on. put the ice sensing bail arm down to be on and make sure the water valve to ice maker is turned on. When the thermostat in the ice maker module is set the ice maker will harvest the ice produced ( the first time it will be dry) at the end of this harvest cycle is when the water valve (located on outside area of refrigerator) will open and let about 8 oz into the mold. When the water is frozen the thermostat senses this and the process starts all over again. The ice sensing arm just stops the ice maker from harvesting as it know the bucket is full.
