Norcold cost figured out

Our Norcold AFAIK was about $4000 new. In the couple of years of it's 6 year or so life we invested another $2000 + to keep it (sort of) working. At $2 a bag that is 3000 bags of ice. 365 days a year X 6 years = 2190 bags. So we could have bought one bag a day and had 810 left over for real hot days. We are not full timers so we would not need that much ice of course.

The cooler does not care if it is 6 degrees off level. It never needs a reset and it is tough to catch on fire. Needs no AC, DC or propane. Doesn't beep when you leave the lid open though. I could magic marker NO-CO on the front for old times sake.

Just think of all the trips to buy ice you saved.

Ya think their nickname of NoCold is well deserved?

And a bag of ice won't keep your ice cream hard, but then again, neither does our Norcold.
