Norcold Error problem

I have a 1998 Jayco with a Norcold refrigerator that has been working great up till this week end. It's used mostly for deer camp and has always properly switched from AC from a generator to propane. When I first arrived at camp I started my generator and set fridge on coldest setting. I let generator run all night and most of the morning and noticed the ice in trays in freezer were frozen but everything in fridge was frozen too. Hadn't had that happen before but I just lowered the thermostat some and didn't think about it much. I also shut off my generator till later that night. Friend camped next to me said he knows the fridge was running on gas cause he could hear the burner. Everything still seemed cold.

Now the problem. When I went in that night i noticed ALL the LED bulbs flashing. The fridge dosnt have a digital screen for errors and a diagnostic guide said that the problem was Not Owener Seviceable.

I can find no model number on the fridge anywhere and I've looked at all the standard places.

Any ideas? It's shut off till the coming weekend so I don't know if it'll cool then or not.

Sound like the sensor (thermistor) for the refrigerator temp failed, or there is a problem in that circuit (board, wiring, thermistor itself).
Hopefully this is an intermittent problem.
What you want to do is clear the code by disconnecting the 12V supply for the refrigerator. Turn the refrigerator off, then disconnect the power to the refrigerator by removing the fuse for the refrigerator at your fuse box.
Reinstall the fuse after a couple of min and restart the refrigerator on propane. If you are lucky, the refrigerator will work...if not it's time for a trip to the service department.

Thanks, I'll try that this weekend. Thanks again.

Here is the current situation. I found things worked correctly if only on LP and 12v. The minute I start generator it starts flashing trouble. Didn't matter if set on auto or not. I unplugged the fridge from ac socket and it works fine on gas and 12v.

Assuming your generator & wiring hasn't gone wonky (hot neutral or ground something like that) since the refrigerator sets a code without you selecting auto, it sounds like your board has gone bad, as it should should "ignore" A/C unless that is selected. Any chance of rodent activity? Aside from the chewing thing, their leavings can short boards and cause electrical issues.

Do you have the recall board with the red LED? Its in a small black box on the rear of the fridge. Use a strong magnet to reset the LED.

Not sure about recall board. All I get is all leds flashing. What I have now will get me thru deer season, after that I'll look further.
