Norcold fin thermostat setting?
Mike (RV WIZARD),
We have a fellow here in Maine with a problem many wish they could have-- especially the ice cream lovers..
He has A '08 40' Mandlay Bay DP.
The fridge is a Norcold 12101M.
It has nine temperature settings. He has it set on number "one" and things are freezing at 28 degrees in the fridge.
The fin thermostat is on the second fin from the right about 3/4 of the way up.
Which direction is warmer-- up or down?
Which fin is the ideal one to have the sliding thermostat on? Maybe repositioning the sliding thermostat will help him out -- or any other ideas?
Thanks,

Max, have him try sliding the thermistor down to the middle area of the first fin. I think he may have a bad thermistor and it will have to be replaced if it continue to freeze thing in the fresh food section of the refrigerator.

Follow up for Mike (RV Wizard) and all interested folks----
Jerry, our friend in Maine, got a new thermistor, installed it himself and the fridge is working fine now. He put the thermistor on the second fin from the right about a third of the way down. The temperature is about 38 degrees on the number two setting --- just what he wants .
Great analysis----
I also had given him copies of past threads on this issue and "we" learned that the unit is supposed to defrost on a 49 hour schedule. It does exactly that-- How cool is the info here on 1rv2 -----
