Norcold Fridge Questions

We have a Norcold refrigerator model 1211IM. We've had this coach since November and it seems to have been working fine either on A/C or LP. Not quite as cold on LP, but no real problems.
Yesterday we did a WalMart run to prepare for a few weeks of being in the boondocks, so we did load up the fridge & freezer pretty good, but today I noticed that new stuff in the freezer was pretty cold, but not frozen.

We've been on shore power, but I've had it in the "auto" mode just in case we lost power it would run on LP. We've always kept it on the coldest setting "9" and have never had an issue. I checked with a fairly accurate thermometer and the freezer section {away from the ice machine} was 34*F.
What was frozen seems to be staying that way, but the new stuff has yet to freeze. {almost 24 hours}.

My question is, did we just load too much stuff in it an it will take a while to freeze or does it seem like I need to look further.

Thanks for any help!

Absorption refers are slow to recover compared to compressor types used in the home. The best results come with pre-cooling or pre-freezing the food. Also, since there is no forced fan circulation, filling the fridge to nearly full impedes good cooling.

Bluepill has it right. Try to adjust your food so there are vertical air columns between food items so air can flow up and down. An inside 12v fan would help circulate the air so it doesn't 'layer'. Your fridge has to remove all the heat from everything you put in there, which can take a while.

Thanks Bluepill & Steelhead,
It looks like it may be now cooling down. I moved some stuff around and took out the ice tray. I put the ice that was in the storage tray in some baggies and placed it around to help some of the other food items.

I've searched the "Norcold Problems" posts and am honestly kind of scared, but I haven't heard of too many "problem free" answers. If I can get my new circuit board for our little WAECO cooler replaced, maybe we can at least have an emergency option.

Thanks again and if anyone else has some input I would be glad to hear it.
