Thank You Thank You...!!!!

Thank you for the info...I am ordering it right away....

Now...if only I can get the same type of alarm on Hubby's heart, I could get a good night's sleep. But one step at a time....

This same company has a fridge safety upgrade as well.
Oops Dometic. Glad to see you are adding the extinguisher.

The black box has a "Rev. x" code printed on it. The revisions are at least at "Rev. E" as of late last summer or so. The revisions are trying to correct an excessive "false positive" triggering - that is, shutting down the refer for no reason.

I am still on "Rev. A" from a couple years ago and never had it fail.

Same here, although I also have a spare rev. 'E' just in case..

Norcold will never admit it, and maybe some of the RV tech's can confirm or deny this, but it seems that a majority of the fires occur while on shore power as the elements are extremely hot in only one area, while LP is much more consistent throughout the assembly.

My black box is also the original A version. No spare and won't need one as the NotSoCold will be history next month.

Jeff, you are correct regarding the fires having been started while on shore power versus LPG. I know of only one Norcold fire that happen when on LPG. It was a Monacoers member and happen during the night after returning home from a trip. They lost the entire coach.
