Well, it finally happened! My Norcold 1200 LR frig quit working. Called Norcold....no help there. Their answer was to call your local dealer and let them handle it. Not being one who likes to get ripped off or has a bottomless pocet full of money, I decide to do it my self. Thinking it may be the computer board, I decided to call Dinosaur and they are the best. The customer service goes well beyond what I expected and we finally came to the conclusion that my board was OK. I ended up a lots of reading and checking thinks out determining that the cooling unit was bad. I ordered one from the Amish refrig company in In. Cost $1075 and that includes shipping. What a great company. The salesman told me what to check before he would sell me one. i ordered it and the shipping was on 3 days. I am handy with tools and like to do things myself. The only hard thing was the removal and installation of the unit as it is heavy (240 Lbs) and I can no longer lift that much. My frig sits on a platform off the floor with a heater under it, so I made a box for it to sit on. Slid the unit on the box and moved it around whereever I needed it. The install went very easy and now my frig is working better than ever. Thats my lesson for the day.
George

Sounds great! Glad you were able to get it fixed. Was your Norcold part of the recall?

The safety parts had been installed but my unit became pluged up and the ammonia would not circulate within the cooling coils. I tried but they said no.
