Norcold frosting problem

I have a 4-door Norcold 1211IM refer in a 08 Itasca Horizon. Up until about 3 weeks ago it was working just fine. Now the fins are frosting over from right to left. I have also had the problem of the "door ajar" alarm which I have solved with a bandaid fix. After reading some of the posts I think I have found that the spacer on the right door pin is missing. Replacing that will probably fix my door ajar problem. However, that still leaves the frosting problem. It is possible that the missing spacer is causing an air leak at the top of the door and replacing the spacer will fix that problem. I am also wondering if the thermister has gone bad and is causing the frosting. I am unsure if that unit controls the defrost cycle of the refer or just the temp cycle of the refer. We have no issues with the temp or any issues at all with the freezer. Am looking for a little help here.

My guess would be that fixing the door will solve the frosting issue as well.

We had a similar problem with the fins frosting up from right to left, it was determined that the problem was the door seals and to replace the seals Norcolds answer was we had to replace the 2 doors as they do not sell seals for this unit. We have since replaced it with the Samsung RF-197, very happy with the extra space and the frost free. Space wise it fit the spot the Norcold came out of we removed a small useless flip up cupboard that was above the old fridge.

How bad is your frosting problem?
There will be some frost to right and if your in a warm area every time you open the door will cause a little more frost which is normal.
The defrost cycle every 40 hours will eliminate the frost.
