My Norcold Refrig. failed last August in Gulf Shores. All lights inside and on the control panel on front were out. A local RV Repairman looked at it for 2 hours and could not find the problem. You could still feel heat on the stack in the back. He said it was working in some kind of emergency/standby mode. He did the jumper reset proceedure and nothing changed. After about 24 hours everything was working again. Worked fine until yesterday. Then same thing no lights or indicators. But still feel heat at stack in back. Anyone have any recommendations???????

Inspect, clean and assure all electrical connections. Does the inside light come on when the door is opened? Unplug the 120 vac power cord. Does it switch to lp gas mode? Turn the unit off and back on with no shore or generator power on coach. Did this correct the problem? If so, you could have an issue of dirty DC power effecting the electronics of the control board. Clean up the dirty DC (converter, charger or inverter) and this would solve the problem.

You may want to change out the Thermistor just as a possibility. I do know that if the Thermistor fails, it will default to a backup mode where the unit will continue to work at one temperature. Not sure about the lights, controls, etc.

The Thermistor has been known to have internal dynamic failures where if it was tested and check out to be OK, it still wasn't working as it should.

Happen to me when my frig was cooling all over the map, warm, cold, lukewarm, etc.

Could be you are part of the latest massive recall on the Norcold's. Did you not receive a recall notice? Sounds like it is doing what it is supposed to do when overheating??!!

Find your 12v fuse panel and check the screw connections for wires may have a screw loose on the battery lead or the white ground buss location.
Reset the fuse for fridge and make sure its plugged into prongs correctly not between plastic and prongs.
