We have a used 2003 Travel Supreme 5er.
The ice maker never worked.Found one at Lowes that fit.Original showed bad mold heater.
The water valve is not working (original).I used the one in the Ice Maker from Lowes. All works now. But,the Lowes water valve has entirely different bracket and inlet. It is now just hanging loose.I'm parked.
I cannot find a place online to purchase the
original Norcold water valve solenoid.Model 55
Any help appreciated.

I called Dryer and they said they had the proper valve..It's on the way..Thanks Ray.

Question:The old icemaker had a lot of crud in the molds.Appeared like residue from water.
When winterizing the ice maker, other than turning off the water, and draining hoses how is the best way to get the water out of the mold?
I siphoned some out and used a paper towel on the new one after shut down.Wonering if a better way.
Thanks

Turn off the water suppy and turn the ice sensing arm up into the locked off position. Let the water in the ice maker freeze. Disconnect the water line from the outlet of the ice maker. Let the arm down and allow the ice maker to go through its harvest cycle and eject the ice. When you winterize with potable antifreeze just apply voltage to the ice maker water valve solenoid until the pink stuff comes out the valve. After dewinterizing in the opposite order and the valve is flushed out recoonect line to valve feeding the ice maker mold.

You're welcome! Ya'know, there is not one individual that knows everything. When we all here at irv2.com put our heads together we come pretty darn close though. I'm really proud to be a member of irv2.com, I placed my logo decal on our new 5er as soon as it was received.
