I am looking for a tech to help on this one. Usually pretty good at this but obviously missing something. Third icemaker replaced, all ohms checks and voltages are within range, water valve functioning. Freezes ice but will not start cycle to dump the ice. Have emptied the mold and waited greater than 24 hours on several occasions with no automatic startup. Bail is down and icemaker on. Any help would be appreciated.

There is an adj for water. If the cubes are too large , they will not fall into bin as the overflow water freezes them in place. Not very technical but its from experience.

Think Cliff hit on it. Are the ice cubes on the big side when you look at them,or should I ask,is the water right at the top of the tray?

Dick.

Thanks guys for the response. Yes the temp has been below 15 degrees, and yes I have 110 on the leads. Also, the unit will work when I jumper the leads to start the cycle. Tested continuity on the fuse and it is in check as well. The will just not start to cycle on it's own. Norcold said they want the freezer at O degrees. Still pretty aggravated.

Well, I guess so, I'm showing 110 on the test leads for the unit. The wiring harness was replaced about a year ago with no success in operation. This is the second unit and is a replacement unit I bought at Lowes. I will adjust the ice size and double check the voltage again and turn the freezer down. All other checks are good. Thanks

Stick a thermometer in the freezer, in fact hang it from the bail if you can.

Unit cycles at 20 - 25 degrees and ONLY if it has 120vac (or something close) to cycle it.

If your freezer is only going down to 30.. it won't cycle.

Good luck with that. Most RV freezers won't stay consistently below 10º.

The replacement icemaker I installed a while back said the heater to de-mold the icecubes comes on when the sensor in the ice mold is at 17º, so you shouldn't need 0º. Zero will make cubes faster, but it shouldn't be necessary to run the icemaker.

Are you sure the wiring harness that was replaced a year ago is hooked up correctly? Black goes to hot, white to neutral, green to ground and brown to the solenoid. The other terminal of the solenoid goes to neutral.

Thanks again to all. The answers are yes, showing 120 volts, decreased incoming water and temp at 5 degrees. Also checked and double checked all wiring and all is hooked up according to icemaker and Norcold specs. Still stumped with no ice.
