Norcold N841 over temp sensor/re-call device?

Hi,

My RV has a 1999 era Norcold N841, however it is a few thousand or so below the re-called serial numbers. I've had a look but don't see any temp sensors on the burner tube, did they consider these not to have the issue? or just don't care?

I can't see how there would be any over temp protection on mine, as such I'm debating adding something aftermarket or DIY.

No OEM over temp sensor

No Recall Sensor.....
Possibly due to better quality tubing/welding on your vintage

Later on they cut corners..went with thinner walled tubing which ended up with heat stress at welds especially at the electric element holders welded to perk tube.
Cracks developed.......Recall was 'adding a high temp' DC cut off sensor (800*F shuts down ALL DC....doesn't stop/fix weld stress/thin wall tubing but does KILL all DC power. No DC/no propane flame or electric element)

ARP has a temp sensor that stops operation based on lower temps due to overheating -----before damage not AFTER

Thank you for these details, it make a little more sense to me now why they only re-called these later units due to cost cutting in production and increased chance of failure due to this. I guess in the long run a system such as the ARP would still be a good idea.
