I have an '02 Itasca Horizon with the two door Norcold with freezer on top. Don't have the Model # available at this time.

Unit works fine on Electric. When I unplug electric, unit goes to LP and heats up and the light on the door is green.

However, the unit is not cooling on LP. I have to crank the gen for it to go back to electric or plug in.

Noticed this on our way home from a trip a couple weeks ago.

Wandering if anyone may have had this problem and might have the answer.

Thanks, C Lewis

C Lewis, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here. You will fidn we are a group of fun loving RVers that like to help each other where we can. I am going to add a shortcut to the New Members Check In section of the forum so other can welcome you to our family.
I would recommend you have someone check the LP gas working pressure first. THe refrigerator is prone to not funtioning if the gas pressure is slightly off 11" water colum of pressure. If the pressure is right the ref gas burner and associated components should be cleaned as you probably do not have the right btus of heat getting to the boiler area of the cooling unit. The ref may have to be removed to remove the baffle inside the flue so the flue can be properly cleaned.

Welcome to irv2 C Lewis
Had the same problem when I started my refrige for season and found rust filings across burner tube for gas. Had to vacum them out than placed a paper towel across the burner tube ports and hammered the flue tube and more rust chips fell on to paper towel. Use one of your nails for awning anchor and place flat side of nail against tube and tap with hammer.
The year of your coach will show when filings fall on to paper.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.
