Hello fellow RV'ers,

My Norcold 1200LRIM decided to stop working on LP today for no apparent reason. It comes up as NO FL (No Flame). I have plenty of DC power and gas and I have purged the system and lit the cooktop to check the flow. I have checked to see if there is a flame and there is not. The fridge is working perfectly on AC. Does anyone know how to check if I have an igniter problem or a bad board or something. Maybe a check with a multi meter somewhere. I cant seem to find a good diagnostic section in the manual.
Please help as I do a lot of boondocking and need it to work...Thanks
Rod

Rod, Here's a link to the Norcold service manual. You might try pulling out the ignitor and cleaning it then set the gap to about the thickness of a dime. http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ncold1200.pdf

Good Luck,
Sammie

If the burner, orifice and chimney have not been cleaned in a while it could be all it needs is servicing to get it back up and running. I have seen large flakes of rust just laying on top of the burner and shorting out the ignitor and/or disrupting the gas flow out of the burner.
